Qualifications

• Pursuing a BS or MS in Robotics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• Strong programming skills in C++ and/or Python.
• Experience developing software for robotic or autonomous systems.
• Experience with ROS or ROS 2.
• Understanding of coordinate frames, transformations, kinematics, and core robotics concepts.
• Experience integrating real sensors, actuators, or robotic hardware.
• Comfortable developing and debugging on Linux.
• Ability to troubleshoot problems across multiple parts of a robotic system.
• Experience using modern AI coding tools as part of a professional development workflow.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop robotics software primarily in C++ and Python.
• Build and maintain systems using ROS 2.
• Integrate cameras, depth sensors, encoders, IMUs, motor controllers, and other robotic hardware.
• Develop perception pipelines for object detection, tracking, localization, and sensor fusion.
• Implement motion planning, trajectory generation, and robotic control algorithms.
• Integrate robotic arms, mobile platforms, actuators, and end effectors.
• Deploy and optimize software on embedded GPU platforms such as NVIDIA Jetson.
• Develop simulation and validation workflows using tools such as Isaac Sim, Gazebo, or similar.
• Use modern AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, OpenAI Codex, and other coding agents as part of the engineering workflow.
• Build and improve agentic development harnesses that allow coding agents to implement, test, debug, and validate changes reliably.
• Write clear technical specifications, requirements, acceptance criteria, and automated tests.
• Review AI-generated and human-written code for correctness, architecture, maintainability, and system-level impact.
• Improve development workflows through automation, CI, testing, simulation, and reproducible environments.
• Diagnose issues across software, sensors, networking, compute, and hardware interfaces.
• Participate directly in robot bring-up, field testing, and customer-facing technical work.
• Communicate technical progress, tradeoffs, issues, and results clearly to internal teams and clients.
