RTX is seeking a software engineer to join the Software Engineering Directorate’s Effectors Center, onsite in Tucson, AZ. You will design, code, and test real-time embedded software for missiles, launchers, radars, and naval fire control systems, working in a fast-paced agile team across the full software lifecycle.

You will derive requirements, implement robust software in C/C++, and collaborate with systems engineers and hardware designers to meet mission-critical objectives.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related STEM major by start date.
• Experience developing, building, or debugging software using C/C++ or another OO language.
• Experience with hardware-software integration, embedded system testing, or bench-level debugging.
• Experience applying OO concepts and data structures/algorithms.

Responsabilidades

• Assist in deriving software requirements, architecture design, implementation, and verification for real-time embedded software.
• Design, code, test, and integrate high-reliability software using C/C++.
• Perform hardware-software integration and bench testing on embedded targets and HIL environments.
• Participate in code reviews, design reviews, and trade studies.
• Collaborate with systems engineers, hardware designers, and project managers to align requirements and interfaces.
• Follow software engineering processes and configuration management to deliver mission-critical products.
