RTX is seeking a software engineer to design, implement, and test real-time embedded software for missiles, launchers, radars, and naval fire control systems. You will work in an agile, fast-paced environment, contributing across the full software development lifecycle.

The role is onsite in Tucson, AZ, requiring strong C/C++ skills, embedded systems experience, and collaboration with cross‑functional teams to deliver high‑reliability software for defense applications.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related STEM major by start date.
• Experience developing, building, or debugging software using C, C++, or other OO language.
• Experience with hardware–software integration, embedded system testing, or bench‑level debugging.
• Experience applying OO design, data structures, and algorithms.

Responsabilidades

• Derive software requirements, architecture design, implementation, and verification of real-time embedded software.
• Design, code, test, and integrate high‑reliability software using C/C++ and OO techniques.
• Perform hardware–software integration, bench debugging, and testing on embedded targets/HIL environments.
• Participate in peer code reviews, design reviews, and technical trade studies.
• Collaborate with systems engineers, hardware designers, and project managers to align requirements.
• Follow software engineering processes and configuration management to deliver robust products.
