RTX in Tucson, AZ, seeks a software engineer to develop real‑time embedded software and firmware for missiles, launchers, radars, and naval fire control systems. You will design, code, integrate, and test critical software as part of a fast‑paced agile team, gaining hands‑on experience across the software lifecycle.

The role requires a Master’s in a STEM field and experience with C/C++, embedded systems, and hardware‑software integration.

Competenze

• Master’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related STEM major obtained by start date.
• Experience developing, building, or debugging software using C, C++, or other object‑oriented languages.
• Experience with hardware‑software integration, embedded system testing, or bench‑level debugging.
• Experience applying OO concepts and data structures/algorithms.

Mansioni

• Assist derivation of software requirements, architecture design, implementation, and verification of real‑time embedded software.
• Design, code, test, and integrate high‑reliability software solutions in C/C++ for embedded targets.
• Perform hardware‑software integration and bench testing on embedded targets and HIL environments.
• Collaborate with systems engineers, hardware designers, and project managers to align requirements and interfaces.
