Job summary

RTX in Tucson, AZ is seeking a software engineer to develop real-time embedded software for missiles, launchers, radars, and control systems. You will design, code, integrate, and test critical software as part of a fast-paced agile team, spanning the full development lifecycle.

Responsibilities include requirements derivation, high‑reliability software in C/C++, hardware‑software integration, and peer reviews.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, CS, or a related STEM field.
• Experience with C/C++ and object-oriented programming.
• Experience with hardware-software integration and embedded testing.
• Experience applying OO principles and data structures/algorithms.

Responsibilities

• Assist in derivation of software requirements, architecture design, implementation, and verification for real-time embedded software.
• Design, code, test, and integrate high-reliability software in C/C++.
• Perform hardware-software integration, bench debugging, and HIL testing.
• Participate in internal code reviews and design reviews.
• Collaborate with systems engineers, hardware designers, and project managers to align requirements.
• Follow software engineering processes and configuration management practices.
