Job summary

Plaid Inc. in San Francisco is hiring the first Data Scientist for the Embedded Insights team within Plaid’s Data organization.

You will establish analytics and metrics for a mix of internal and external products, helping drive better decision-making and model health across the Plaid network. You will analyze network behavior, create dashboards, evaluate model performance, and translate findings into clear narratives for product and engineering leadership.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of industry experience in Data Science or a related analytics role.
• Strong SQL and data visualization toolkit.
• Proficient in Python for exploratory data analysis and model work.

Responsibilities

• Analyze entities across the Plaid network to understand behavior, opportunities, and risks.
• Build foundational metrics, dashboards, and monitoring for network health and model performance.
• Evaluate model performance and translate results into actionable narratives for product and engineering leaders.
• Design experiments, define success metrics and guardrails, and communicate recommendations.
