Job summary

Plaid is hiring a Senior Machine Learning Engineer for its Embedded Insights team. You will build ML-powered features for a consumer-facing Plaid App, partnering with product managers and data scientists to translate business needs into scalable ML solutions.

You will focus on rapid iteration to achieve product-market fit for a new business line, deploying models into real-world systems and establishing measurable success metrics and guardrails.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in machine learning, including deploying models to production.
• Ability to analyze large and complex financial datasets and derive actionable insights.
• Proficiency in SQL and Python, and data visualization/analysis tools.
• Advanced degree or equivalent work experience in a quantitative field.

Responsibilities

• Build machine learning-based features for a 0-to-1 consumer-facing Plaid App.
• Collaborate with product managers to translate business requirements into ML problems and influence roadmaps.
• Rapidly iterate to drive product-market fit for a new business line.
• Define success metrics and guardrails with data scientists.
• Partner with ML engineers to build data feedback loops and deploy models.
