Job summary

Plaid is seeking a senior Data Scientist to analyze network data, build dashboards, and monitor ML model health. You will partner with product and engineering to translate insights into actionable actions and drive product improvements.

The role requires 6+ years in data science or analytics, strong SQL and Python skills, and experience with data pipelines (dbt/Airflow). Hybrid office schedule is expected.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in Data Science or analytics
• Proficient in SQL and data visualization tools
• Knowledge of modern ML techniques including classification, clustering, and optimization
• Experience evaluating model performance and tying results to business outcomes
• Ability to code and iterate in Python for EDA
• Excellent written and verbal communication with technical and non-technical audiences
• Experience with data pipelines using dbt or Airflow is a plus
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in CS, Statistics, Eng, Econ, or related field
• Ability to work from Plaid office at least 3 days/week

Responsibilities

• Analyze Plaid network data to identify opportunities, anomalies and risks
• Build dashboards and monitoring systems for network health and model performance
• Evaluate model value and performance using customer and internal data
• Translate findings into actionable narratives for product and engineering leaders
• Design experiments with success metrics and guardrails; communicate recommendations
• Identify opportunities to improve models and product with cross-functional teams
• Develop reliable data models and analytics workflows with cross-functional partners
• Support embedded insights analytics backbone and data pipelines
