Job summary

Plaid is seeking a Senior Machine Learning Engineer for the Embedded Insights team to build ML-powered features for the Plaid App, a 0-to-1 consumer-facing product aimed at establishing product-market fit for a new business line.

You will collaborate with product managers, data scientists, engineers, and customers to translate opportunities into scalable ML systems, define success metrics, and productionize models across Plaid’s products, delivering measurable customer value.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in machine learning, including deploying models into real-world, customer-facing systems.
• Experience deploying ML systems from experimentation to production and ongoing improvement.
• Proficiency in SQL and Python, plus data visualization and analysis tools.
• Ability to clearly communicate complex technical decisions to cross-functional partners.

Responsibilities

• Build machine learning-based features for a 0-to-1 consumer-facing product.
• Partner with product managers to translate business requirements into ML problems and shape product strategy.
• Rapidly iterate and experiment to drive product-market fit for a new business line.
• Collaborate with Data Scientists to define success metrics and guardrails for new features.
• Work with ML engineers to productionize models and deploy them to customer-facing products.
