Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Hardware Assurance Engineer, Level 2, to assess and prioritize hardware security threats across components and firmware. The role demands strong technical skills in threat analysis, vulnerability management, and communication with stakeholders to ensure risk-informed decisions.

Qualified candidates will hold a STEM BS with 2+ years of experience, US citizenship with a DoD Secret clearance, and familiarity with MBSE, Tableau/Power BI, and DOORs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in a STEM field with 2+ years of experience; Master/PhD not required.
• Must be a US citizen with active DoD Secret clearance
• Ability to obtain Enhanced Security Clearances as needed
• Experience applying Systems Security Engineering to US government defense programs
• Strong technical writing and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Assess hardware threats, vulnerabilities and risk for hardware/firmware.
• Research data, analyze vulnerabilities, and derive actionable facts.
• Communicate risk with stakeholders across teams and customers.
• Contribute to program plans, goals, and milestones for Hardware Assurance.
• Review security assessments and identify vulnerabilities and mitigations.
• Ensure secure architecture and support design, development, and integration of security measures.
