Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a highly motivated Hardware Assurance Engineer to assess threats and implement security for hardware and firmware across defense programs. You will lead investigations, coordinate with vendors, and help shape program protection strategies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM discipline with multiple experience tiers (5 years with BS, 3 with MS, 1 with PhD)
• Bachelor of Science degree with 8 years of experience; 6 years with MS; 4 with PhD
• U.S. Citizen with active DoD Secret Clearance within the last 6 years
• Screening for Enhanced Security Clearances within company timelines
• 5+ years applying and understanding Systems Security Engineering for US Government Defense Programs
• 5+ years of clear, effective technical communication of approaches and findings
• Experience with vulnerability management
• Experience with Model-based Systems Engineering (MBSE) concepts and tools
• Experience with hardware assurance and SSE for defense programs
• Understanding of program protection applicable to US Government defense programs
• Experience in HDL (VHDL/Verilog) and RTL design
• Ability to multi-task and deliver quality work with strong teamwork

Responsibilities

• Assess threats, vulnerabilities, and risk for hardware and firmware components
• Research data and derive facts on identified vulnerabilities
• Participate in working groups and meetings; communicate risk to stakeholders
• Contribute to hardware assurance program plans, goals, and milestones
• Review security assessments to identify vulnerabilities and non-compliance
• Ensure secure architecture and design; support security system integration
• Support MDT with other duties as assigned
• Demonstrate strong time management and organizational skills
