Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking an Embedded Flight Software Engineer – Level 3/4 in Linthicum, MD. Work on software for a Space payload unit with a focus on C++, Linux, and Python. On-site with a 9/80 schedule and relocation support may be available.

Role requires ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance, strong debugging and OO design skills, and experience in embedded real-time systems. Contingent on clearances and funding.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years embedded RT software experience (Level 3) OR Master’s with 3 years OR PhD with 1 year.
• Ability to obtain and maintain US TS/SCI clearance; US citizenship required.
• Experience in OO C++ development and in debugging/tracing existing code.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, integrate, and test software for a Space payload unit.
• Work on an agile team using C++, Linux, and Python.
• Conduct peer reviews and participate in cross-functional scrum teams.
• Prioritize work with Technical Leads to implement tasks.
