Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking an Embedded Flight Software Engineer in Morrisville, NC. The role focuses on designing, developing, and testing software for a Space payload unit using C++, Linux, and Python within an agile team. A 9/80 schedule with every other Friday off and potential hybrid work are offered.

Applicants must have strong embedded real-time experience and be eligible for a U.S. government clearance.

Qualifications

• Embedded real-time software experience with a STEM degree (B/S/M/PhD).
• Ability to obtain and maintain TS/SCI clearance.
• US Citizenship required.
• Experience OO-C++ and debugging.
• Linux experience; GCC cross-compiling.
• Experience with CM tools.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, integrate, and test software across the lifecycle.
• Conduct peer reviews of software products and designs.
• Understand requirements and implement/debug to meet criteria.
• Work in a cross-functional Scrum team with others.
• Prioritize tasks and assist Technical Leads as needed.
• Collaborate with engineers to support tasking.
