Job summary

Top Echelon Software, LLC. is seeking an Embedded Firmware Engineer to join our Central New York team in North Syracuse, NY. This onsite role focuses on hands-on embedded C development for microcontroller-based systems used in HVAC/R and industrial applications.

You will work closely with electrical, mechanical and test engineers to move concepts through production, debugging firmware and hardware interactions along the way.

Qualifications

Hands-on embedded C experience required for microcontroller-based systems.
Strong understanding of microcontrollers, interrupts, timers, peripherals and hardware interfaces.
Experience developing and debugging bare-metal embedded firmware.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, debug, and maintain embedded firmware in C.
Develop firmware for 8/16/32-bit MCUs.
Create control logic for sensors, switches, relays, motors, and other components.
Collaborate with hardware engineers on product development and troubleshooting.
Debug hardware and firmware using scopes, tools and lab equipment.
Participate in new product development, testing and validation.
Troubleshoot existing products and support continuous improvement.
