Job summary
RTX's Collins Aerospace in Cedar Rapids, IA seeks a Software Engineer to develop state-of-the-art software for the Microelectronics wafer fab and related product lines. You will contribute to requirements, design, and implementation within a multidisciplinary team across engineering disciplines.
The role involves building software that integrates with hardware, debugging complex systems, and maintaining code using standard SDLC practices.
Qualifications
- Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in STEM.
- Experience with software engineering tools, including version control and debuggers.
- Experience with SQL and databases, such as Microsoft SQL Server.
- Experience with full lifecycle software development practices and configuration management tools.
- Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects.
Responsibilities
- Develop state-of-the-art software systems to support Microelectronics wafer fab.
- Collaborate with multiple disciplines to embed technology into product portfolio.
- Contribute to requirements definition, software design, implementation, and software/hardware integration.
- Work in a software role and support multiple product lines.
