Job summary
Collins Aerospace, an RTX company, seeks a Senior Software Engineer to join the Platform Services Software Team in an onsite role in Cedar Rapids. You will design, develop and test embedded platform software for defense applications, collaborating with multi-disciplinary engineers and delivering robust solutions that meet security and performance requirements.
The position requires a U.S. citizen or eligible for a DoD Secret clearance, with active clearance preferred.
Qualifications
- Experience in modern programming languages (C++, Java) on Linux.
- Ability to rapidly prototype and develop software solutions.
- STEM degree with 5+ years experience or advanced degree with 3+ years.
Responsibilities
- Participate in requirements, design, development and testing of software.
- Design, code, test, integrate, and document software solutions.
- Collaborate with project managers and engineers across disciplines.
- Maintain configuration management and DevOps practices.
- Develop innovative solutions for communications, navigation, RF, and EW apps.
- Travel up to 15% as needed.
