Job summary

Gong.io is hiring an Email Marketing Manager to lead email programs across lifecycle, from brand nurture to 1:1 sales-style outreach that drives MQL conversion. You’ll craft compelling copy, optimize for engagement, and leverage AI to accelerate iteration while preserving the brand voice.

You will collaborate with Demand Gen, Content, Product Marketing, and Field Marketing to reflect GTM priorities and ensure consistent QA standards across Engage and other channels.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in email marketing, lifecycle marketing in B2B SaaS or enterprise software.
• Differentiate between marketing and sales emails and optimize for engagement.
• Hands-on experience with Marketo and Gong Engage or alternatives (Outreach/Salesloft).
• Proficiency in AI for writing, testing, and improving emails.
• Experience with A/B and multivariate testing and interpreting results.
• Knowledge of deliverability fundamentals, list hygiene, CAN-SPAM and GDPR.
• Understanding GTM basics: ICP, personas, buying stages and signals.
• Experience coordinating with sales teams (Marketo + Gong + Salesloft/Outreach + Salesforce).
• Strong editorial instincts and data-driven optimization mindset.
• Collaborative systems thinker who translates strategy into messaging.

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute email programs across lifecycle from brand to 1:1 outreach driving MQL conversion.
• Write, edit, and optimize email copy for nurture flows, lifecycle programs, triggers and re-engagement.
• Support automated MQL follow-ups with Engage flows, templates, and personalization frameworks.
• Maintain email framework library and ensure voice guidelines across sends.
• Run structured testing programs (subject lines, times, angles, CTAs, length, personalization).
• Collaborate with GTM to align messaging with moments and buyer stage.
• Monitor sender reputation, deliverability, and list health; ensure brand consistency.
• Leverage AI to generate variants and accelerate first drafts without losing voice.
• Partner with Demand Gen, Content, Product Marketing, and Field Marketing to reflect GTM priorities.
