Job summary

Vail Resorts in Colorado is hiring for winter 2026/27 as Alpine/Freestyle/Snowboard coaches. Positions are winter seasonal with full-time hours, offering starting wages of $23.00/hr to $29.22/hr. Housing is available and benefits include free passes, discounted lift tickets, and 401(k).

Ideal candidates have PSIA/AASI Level 3 or USSA/FIS Level 300, HS education, and strong English communication. Apply before December 15 or until filled; on-mountain duties include coaching and safety compliance

Qualifications

• PSIA/AASI Level 3 certification.
• USSA/FIS Level 300 certification.
• High School or equivalent education required.
• Fluent in English (spoken and written).
• Excellent guest service and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a team and in inclement weather.

Responsibilities

• Uphold guest and personal safety on varied high-altitude terrain.
• Instruct skiing to students and match athletes to skill levels.
• Assist guests loading/unloading chairlifts.
• Communicate instructions during training and competitions.
• Support competition services and related programs (registration, equipment fitting, facilities upkeep).
• Other duties as assigned.
