Job summary

BDO is seeking a Tax Senior Manager, Private Client Services (PCS) to lead tax compliance and consulting for high net-worth clients, including families, family offices, executives, and related structures.

The role emphasizes leadership, client contact, tax planning, and supervision of associates, with a focus on complex returns and cross-functional collaboration within PCS and the firm.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or Statistics required; Master’s preferred
• Seven (7) or more years of experience in accounting, finance, or law
• Experience in the private client service area required
• Prior supervisory experience required
• Experience in public accounting preferred
• CPA/EA/Attorney or equivalent designation preferred

Responsibilities

• Manages tax and consulting engagements and identifies client needs, tax planning, and consulting opportunities
• Acts as primary client contact for preparation and presentation of issues and resolution
• Reviews complex returns (individual, trust, estate, S-Corp, foundation, partnership, gift tax) and provides feedback
• Directs communication with government agencies on high-complexity matters
• Performs advanced tax research and develops recommendations for PCS leadership and clients
• Maintains relationships with BDO professionals and external sources
