Job summary

BDO USA is seeking a Tax Senior Manager, Private Client Services to lead engagements for high net-worth clients, supervise staff, and deliver sophisticated tax planning and compliance. The role emphasizes client contact, technical expertise, and business development within a boutique PCS practice.

The position requires an accounting/tax background, CPA or equivalent, and a track record of supervising teams in a public accounting environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; major in Accounting, Finance, Economics or Statistics, preferred
• Masters in Accountancy or Taxation, preferred
• Seven (7) or more years prior experience in accounting, finance, or law, required
• Experience in the private client service area, required
• Prior supervisory experience, required
• Experience working in public accounting, preferred

Responsibilities

• Manages tax and consulting engagements and identifies client needs and opportunities
• Acts as primary client contact for preparation and presentation of issues
• Reviews complex returns and provides feedback to preparers
• Directs communication with government agencies on high-complexity matters
• Performs advanced tax research and recommends solutions
• Supports ongoing client engagements and firm initiatives
• Prioritizes and reviews work to keep engagements on track
• Assists with PCS/firm contribution responsibilities including billing and training
• Builds and maintains relationships with BDO professionals and external sources
• Performs other duties as assigned
