BDO USA is seeking a Tax Manager for Private Client Services to lead tax compliance and advisory work for high-net-worth clients, including families, family offices, and C-suite executives. The role emphasizes leadership, technical tax knowledge, and client development.

The candidate will oversee engagements, review diverse tax returns, and collaborate with clients and advisors to deliver strategic solutions while advancing internal PCS initiatives and firm-wide contributions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; major in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Statistics preferred.
• Master’s degree in Accountancy or Taxation preferred.
• Five+ years prior experience in accounting, finance, or law required.
• Experience working in public accounting, or the private client service area, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manages tax and consulting engagements and identify client needs and opportunities.
• Gathers information from clients and their advisors to prepare tax returns.
• Reviews tax returns for individuals, trusts, estates, S-Corps, foundations, partnerships, and gifts.
• Directs communication with government agencies on complex matters.
• Develops technical research and sound recommendations for PCS leadership.
• Builds and maintains relationships with BDO professionals and external sources.
