Job summary

BDO USA, LLP is seeking a Tax Experienced Senior in Private Client Services (PCS). The role focuses on high net-worth clients, estate, gift, and trust tax consulting and compliance, with leadership and business development responsibilities within a boutique practice.

You will mentor staff, gather data, perform complex returns, and participate in client engagements while maintaining deadlines and delivering sound tax guidance.

Qualifications

• Three or more years of prior tax experience in public accounting, private industry, or consulting/professional services.
• Experience in private client services is preferred.
• Prior basic supervisory experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participates in tax and consulting engagements and identifies client needs and opportunities.
• Gathers information from clients and advisors to prepare tax returns.
• Develops understanding of complex returns across individuals, trusts, estates, S-corps, foundations, partnerships, and gifts.
• Reviews basic returns and provides feedback to staff and interns.
• Analyzes tax notices and drafts initial responses.
• Conducts tax research and recommends actions for PCS leadership.
• Works in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment individually and in teams.
• Supports PCS/firm contribution tasks, including billing and training.
