Job summary

BDO USA is seeking a Tax Experienced Senior for Private Client Services (PCS) to provide tax compliance and advisory services to high net-worth clients. The role leverages education, leadership, and client-communication skills to manage engagements, mentor staff, and support business development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Statistics required; or CPA certification.
• Master’s degree in Accountancy or Taxation preferred.
• CPA/EA/Attorney certification preferred.
• Three or more years of prior relevant tax experience required.
• Experience in private client services preferred.
• Prior basic supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participates in tax and consulting engagements and identifies client needs and opportunities.
• Gathers information from clients and advisors to prepare tax returns.
• Develops understanding of complex tax returns across multiple entity types and jurisdictions.
• Reviews basic returns and provides feedback to staff and interns.
• Analyzes tax notices and drafts responses for PCS leadership.
• Conducts advanced tax research and presents recommendations.
• Works in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with teamwork.
• Assists with PCS/firm contributions including billing and recruiting.
• Builds relationships with professionals inside and outside the firm.
