Job summary

British American Household Staffing seeks a proactive PA/House Manager to join a busy Atherton household. The role is full-time, live-out, Monday–Friday 10am–6pm, with a strong emphasis on design-aware operations and vendor management.

Ideal candidates will have experience in high-end residences, excellent organization, and comfort with budgets, procurement, and coordinating home projects including expansions.

Qualifications

• Must be legal to work in the US.
• Prior experience as a personal assistant, house manager, and/or project manager in a high-end residence.
• Bachelor's degree in interior design, business, hospitality, supply chain, or construction management.
• Tech-savvy with Google Docs, Notion, Savant, Adobe Illustrator, and/or SketchUp.
• Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Support a busy household and ensure personal and household operations run smoothly behind the scenes.
• Source, vet, and manage vendors and contractors for home maintenance and repair projects.
• Oversee ongoing home expansion project(s).
• Manage accounts payable and the project budget.
• Lead procurement of interior items for the project under guidance of the Design Principal.
• Assist with home organization projects – closets, storage, digital files, and more.
• Take ownership of ad hoc personal or household projects as they arise.
• Manage personal events, from small gatherings to larger parties.
