Qualifications

• Minimum 1-3 years’ experience in commercial roofing sales/estimating.
• Previous experience in an inside or outside sales role is required.
• Solid understanding of commercial roofing products and procedures.
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, pass MVR check, and vehicle insurance must meet company’s requirements.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Effective time management and prioritization skills.
• Basic computer skills; detail and service orientation.

Responsibilities

• Determining customers’ needs and recommending appropriate products and solutions.
• Following a product/supply checklist for each customer’s job and upselling additional products and supplies.
• Maintaining current pricing from the manufacturers.
• Using expert application, installation and product knowledge to successfully meet goals.
• Interpreting and reading structural blueprints.
• Accepting payment and applying it to the appropriate customer account.
• Coordinating customer pick-ups with the warehouse.
• Providing material layouts and competing takeoffs.
• Reordering products to keep the store and warehouse shelves well stocked.
• Addressing and resolving service concerns, should they arise.
