Job summary

North Slope Borough seeks a dedicated flight paramedic to serve as the primary air crewmember on medevac and SAR missions. You will coordinate advanced emergency care during air and ground transport, operate lifesaving equipment, and maintain licensure and readiness.

Two years of pre-hospital EMS experience and current paramedic licensure are required; FP-C is preferred and must be obtained within one year. Travel to remote villages may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with relevant EMS experience.
• Current paramedic licensure and CPR credentials.
• Two years of pre-hospital emergency medical work experience.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary air crewmember on medevac and SAR missions.
• Coordinate advanced emergency care during air and ground transport.
• Operate emergency life support tools and equipment.
• Maintain licensure, certifications, and physical readiness.
• Provide training and mentorship as assigned.
• Travel to villages as needed.
• Maintain emergency response records and equipment.
