North Slope Borough Fire Department seeks a dedicated paramedic to respond to emergencies, perform fire suppression, rescue and advanced EMS during air and ground medevac operations. The position requires maintaining licensure and certifications, delivering emergency care, and training other responders; travel to villages may be required; strong adherence to safety and policy is essential.
Minimum qualifications include high school diploma or GED; current Alaska paramedic licensure; CPR, ACLS;
Responds to emergencies and performs duties related to fire suppression, rescue and emergency care during air and ground ambulance transport and other tasks as appropriate and in accordance with level of training. Assists with emergency training and maintains equipment and supplies for the department. This position is a regular member of the North Slope Borough Fire Department and is authorized to act under Alaska Statute 18.70
