Nutley Kia, part of Generation Auto Group, seeks a Service Advisor to liaise between customers and the service department in Nutley, NJ. You will gather vehicle information, document issues, and coordinate repairs while delivering exceptional customer service.

Ideal candidates have automotive service experience, strong communication skills, and familiarity with dealership systems. Weekend availability is required; Generation Auto Group supports continuous employee training and benefits.

Qualifications

• Previous Automotive Service Advisor or Service Writer experience preferred.
• Kia experience is a plus.
• Must be available to work Saturdays.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers in a timely and friendly manner and obtain vehicle information.
• Write up vehicle problems accurately on the repair order.
• Conduct a preliminary inspection and note any visible issues.
• Test drive the vehicle when necessary to aid diagnosis.
• Provide clear service recommendations and explain urgency.
• Prepare written labor and parts estimates with transparent pricing.
• Maintain communication with dispatch, technicians, and parts to ensure smooth workflow.
• Obtain customer authorization for repairs and keep them informed of changes.
