Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass is seeking an Auto Body Technician to deliver an exceptional customer experience through meticulous vehicle repair, restoring cars to pre-accident condition. You will disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicles, while aligning with the team to meet KPIs and uphold the Brand Ambassador role for The Boyd Group.

You will plan repairs, perform bodywork, realign chassis, replace parts, and paint to factory specifications, ensuring work orders are completed within time

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of a technical school program or a 3-year apprenticeship as an auto body repairer.
• Ability to read job orders with minimal supervision.
• Ability to work with other repairers within an auto body shop.
• Thorough understanding of methods and procedures to repair vehicle bodies.

Responsibilities

• Plan the repair work and prepare cost estimates for customers using various tools.
• Repair and replace damaged sections with new or aftermarket parts; replace or repair glass as needed.
• Weld and reattach parts; prep and repaint vehicles to factory spec or approved equivalents.
• Inspect vehicles after repair to ensure all work meets required standards.
