Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass is seeking an experienced Auto Body Technician to plan and execute vehicle repairs, estimate costs, and repair or replace damaged sections. You will use cutting guns, plasma cutters, jacks, hammers, and pliers to restore vehicles to factory specifications.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, or a 3-year apprenticeship/technical program. Candidates should be able to read orders, work with others, and perform in a noisy environment with lifting up to 30

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical school program or a 3-year apprenticeship required.
• Ability to read job orders with minimal supervision.
• Thorough understanding of repair tools and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Plan repair work and prepare customer cost estimates.
• Repair dents, apply filler resins when needed, and realign chassis.
• Replace damaged sections with new or aftermarket parts and repair glass.
• Weld and attach parts, and repaint vehicles to factory specs or equivalent.
• Ensure work orders meet labor time guidelines and inspect completed work.
