Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass is hiring an auto body repair professional to perform panel repair, dent removal, and refinishing. You will use cutting guns, plasma cutters, jacks, hammers, and welding tools to restore vehicles to factory standards.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, with preferred technical schooling or a 3-year apprenticeship. You will work in a busy shop environment, lifting up to 30 pounds and ensuring quality workmanship.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical school program OR a 3-year apprenticeship as an auto body repairer preferred.
• Ability to read job orders and work with very little supervision.
• Thorough understanding of methods and procedures to repair vehicle bodies and use of trade tools.

Responsibilities

• Ensure consistent execution of WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan.
• Plans the repair work and prepares cost estimates for customers using various repair tools.
• Repair dents, apply filler resins, realign chassis and frames as needed.
• Remove damaged sections and replace with new or aftermarket parts; repair or replace glass and interior parts.
• Weld and fit parts, and repaint vehicles to factory specs or equivalents.
• Complete work orders within labor time guidelines and inspect finished work.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
