Job summary

State of Missouri's Family Support Division in Cape Girardeau is seeking Benefit Program Technicians to help residents access food, medical, financial and nutritional assistance. You will determine initial and continuing eligibility, interview clients in person and by telephone, and prepare summaries.

A high school diploma or equivalent plus at least four years of customer service experience, or a Bachelor's degree, is required.

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Four+ years of customer service experience or a Bachelor's degree.
• Personable, compassionate and non-judgmental attitude.
• A lack of post-secondary education will not be the sole reason for denial.

Responsibilities

• Determine initial and continuing eligibility for services.
• Interview clients in person and by telephone and prepare summaries.
• Provide information to Missouri residents to help them live healthier lives.
