Florida Department of Children & Families – Office of Economic Self-Sufficiency is seeking an Eligibility Supervisor to oversee a unit responsible for public assistance eligibility. The role focuses on guiding staff, planning assignments, and ensuring accurate determinations using established computer systems.

The incumbent will train, evaluate, and motivate team members, manage workload, monitor performance, and enforce compliance with state rules.

Qualifications

• Two (2) or more years' experience determining eligibility for food stamps, Medicaid, and cash assistance.
• Supervises public assistance eligibility staff and ensures unit responsibilities are processed accurately, timely and in accordance with rules, regulations, policies and procedures.
• Plans and prioritizes the unit’s work-load, work-flow, deadlines and work objectives to meet process measurements and performance targets.

Responsibilities

• Supervises public assistance eligibility staff and ensures timely processing.
• Develops tracking systems to monitor case status and ensure staff complete assignments to deliver customer service and to meet required performance indicators.
• Plans and priorities the unit’s work-load, work-flow, deadlines and work objectives to meet process measurements and performance targets.
• Provides necessary training to employees and ensures staff receive necessary technical assistance to be successful.
