Job summary

Knowledge Services in Boonville, IN is hiring an Eligibility Specialist to assist Indiana residents with TANF, SNAP and Medicaid applications. Responsibilities include data gathering, document verification, and data entry in state databases, with a focus on accuracy and timely responses.

Qualifications include 2 years in a social service environment, strong customer service, and solid computer skills. A BA/BS in Counseling or Social Services is preferred, HS diploma acceptable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor/Associate degree preferred in Counseling or Social Services.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Two years’ experience in a social service environment, state or local government is desired pertaining to employment / training programs.
• Previous experience as a Case Manager, Eligibility Specialist, Eligibility Associate, Office Manager, Call Center Customer Service Specialist, or Client Specialist encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Eligibility Specialists gather data for all relevant assistance programs either face-to-face or via phone with clients
• Verify all information is gathered accurately and meets state policies
• Obtain release forms and medicalrecords as needed
• Verify income, assets, and other financial / legal documents
• Review regulations and program requirements with clients
• Utilize automated program to determine eligibility of state assistance programs
• Data entry into state database
• Respond to all inquiries in a timely manner via phone or email
