Job summary

Knowledge Services is seeking an Eligibility Specialist in Indianapolis to assist Indiana residents with applying for public assistance programs such as TANF, SNAP and Medicaid. The role involves gathering required information, verifying documents, and using state systems to determine eligibility.

Strong communication, organizational, and data-entry skills are essential. The position is located at 3826 Madison Ave, Indianapolis, with a Monday–Friday schedule, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, offering benefits

Qualifications

• Organized and analytical team player.
• Case management experience is a plus.
• Strong written and verbal skills are required.
• Solid computer skills, including MS Office.
• Basic math skills are expected.
• Independent, reliable self-starter.
• Strong customer service background with professional demeanor.
• Bachelor/Associate in Counseling or Social Services preferred; HS diploma/GED accepted.

Responsibilities

• Gather data for eligibility programs face-to-face or by phone.
• Verify information meets state policies and gather releases/records as needed.
• Verify income/assets and other financial/legal documents.
• Review regulations and program requirements with clients.
• Use automated systems to determine program eligibility.
• Enter data into the state database and respond to inquiries by phone or email.
