Job summary

Texas Health and Human Services Commission is seeking an Eligibility Services Clerk to provide clerical support for the AES division. This role processes applications, stamps and codes documents, logs cases, and assists clients with steps to complete submissions while complying with policy and privacy rules.

The position requires a High School diploma or GED and strong computer/data-entry skills. It involves routine interaction with clients and colleagues to help determine eligibility for food,

Qualifications

• Knowledge of computers and internet usage.

Responsibilities

• Performs clerical support to Eligibility Operations staff.
• Processes mail, opens and dates stamps applications and documents.
• Reviews applications for signatures, dates and supporting documents.
• Logs applications and assigns to processing; returns incomplete applications.
• Responds to client inquiries and requests for assistance.
• Maintains records, files and logs; data entry and packet preparation.
