Job summary

Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) is seeking an Eligibility Services Clerk (ES Clerk II) in Livingston, TX. Join a team dedicated to helping Texans access food, medical care, cash assistance and other social services.

The AES division connects individuals to services to promote self-sufficiency and community well-being. This full-time role requires a high school diploma, customer service experience, and the ability to learn policies.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalent is required.
• Experience working in a professional customer service environment.
• Thirty (30) hours credit from an accredited college or university OR one (1) year of customer service work experience is preferred.
• Bilingual (English / Spanish) Skills Preferred.
• Work experience using a computer for inquiry and data entry, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Attends work on a regular and predictable schedule.
• Opens, dates, sorts, or distributes mail.
• Prepares and proofs correspondence and other documents.
• Communicates with others to provide, exchange, or verify information.
• Maintains records, files, or logs.
• Batches forms prior to data entry and assembles materials.
• Overtime may be required, including weekends.
• Work in a fast-paced, high-stress environment to meet deadlines.
