Job summary

Jefferson County is seeking an Eligibility Supervisor to oversee staff delivering Food, Medical, and Cash Assistance services. You will ensure EMAS delivery, supervise workflow, and coordinate projects within the Community Assistance Division.

The role emphasizes professional leadership, training, and quality assurance, with a focus on collaboration, compliance, and service delivery improvements. Hybrid work arrangement with on-site weekly meetings.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required.
Three (3) years of work-related experience in Eligibility Programs or Human Services.
Equivalent combination of education and experience acceptable.

Responsibilities

Model professional and supportive behavior when working with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
Provide leadership and direct supervision to Eligibility Specialists, Lead Workers, and staff.
Set clear expectations and hold staff accountable for productivity, accuracy, timeliness, professionalism, attendance, and policy adherence.
Create a positive, inclusive work environment and empower staff to develop skills.
Provide coaching, training, and professional development to staff.
Manage workload and staffing to meet program requirements and timelines.
Monitor data to identify trends and inform operations.
Ensure compliance, case accuracy, and CBMS review/approval processes.
