Job summary

Texas Health and Human Services seeks an Eligibility Advisor I to determine financial eligibility for SNAP, TANF, Medicaid and related programs. You will interview applicants, collect information, and enter data into our eligibility system in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• One year of customer service experience with public contact required.
• Sixty (60) semester or ninety (90) quarter hours from an accredited college or university preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interview applicants to obtain financial and personal information for eligibility.
• Evaluate data from multiple sources to enter into the eligibility system.
• Compute and authorize benefits based on eligibility determinations.
• Process work in accordance with state and federal regulations and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
