Job summary

Texas Health and Human Services is seeking an Eligibility Advisor I in Bellville, TX. Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED required; 60 college hours preferred.
• Experience: 1 year customer service in public contact; substitution allowed.
• Must be able to work overtime and in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to learn regulations and policy details.

Responsibilities

• Interview applicants and recipients to determine financial eligibility.
• Enter data into eligibility systems and evaluate information.
• Compute and authorize benefits based on eligibility determinations.
• Follow state and federal regulations and procedures; meet deadlines.
