Job summary

Virginia Commonwealth University’s School of Medicine in Richmond offers a role as Ryan White Part C Eligibility Coordinator within Pediatrics. The position ensures eligibility for HIV care services, conducts screenings, recertifications, and maintains accurate documentation.

You will work with case management teams to ensure uninterrupted access to services and billing alignment, while adhering to HRSA guidance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years of relevant professional experience or equivalent education/training.
• Knowledge of state, federal, and private health insurance and social service benefits.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently under minimum supervision and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and data collection/entry experience.
• Familiarity with HIPAA privacy and confidentiality practices.

Responsibilities

• Determine, document, and maintain client eligibility for Ryan White Part C services.
• Ensure compliance with HRSA guidelines and complete annual eligibility determinations.
• Maintain confidential eligibility records in EPIC and CAREWare and support service access and billing.
• Educate clients on Ryan White services, eligibility requirements, and recertification timelines.
• Collaborate with program managers, providers, billing staff, and case managers to support service delivery.
