Job summary

Consumers Credit Union is seeking an Assistant Branch Manager for Elgin-area branches, including Elgin Main and Gail Borden locations. The role focuses on leadership, coverage, and operational support across all four sites to deliver exceptional member service.

You will partner with the Branch Manager to lead the team, perform as a banker, concierge, teller, mentor, auditor, and operations expert, and ensure the Branch Specialist team maintains expert knowledge and service levels.

Qualifications

• Leadership, people management, mentoring and coaching skills are required.
• Service-oriented, professional demeanor, decision-making and judgment skills are necessary.
• Flexibility to work roughly 45 hours per week, including Saturdays.

Responsibilities

• Provide coaching, training, and feedback to Branch Specialists and manage performance processes.
• Assist members with opening various types of accounts and escalate service issues as needed.
• Oversee branch operations including ATM/ITM, dispatch, vault, currency ordering, regulatory compliance, and audits.
• Act as Branch Manager in their absence to run the branch.
