Job summary

Fujitec America seeks a Mechanical Engineer to design and develop elevator components driven by customer and safety code requirements. The engineer will exercise independent judgement on significant design decisions.

Responsibilities include creating 3D models and drawings, performing calculations, testing prototypes, and supporting manufacturing and field installation. Knowledge of BIM and Autodesk tooling is preferred. Occasional travel to job sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 4 years in related design or manufacturing.
• Proficiency with 3D CAD software and Autodesk tools preferred.

Responsibilities

• Designs, develops, and tests mechanical components, equipment, and machinery.
• Applies engineering principles to design products.
• Conducts product testing and creates models and prototypes.
• Creates/updates 3D models, drawings, and BOMs for manufacturing.
• Performs design calculations to ensure design integrity.
• Provides technical support during manufacturing and installation.
• Coordinates with factory/production to optimize manufacturability.
• Understands system-level integration of mechanical and electrical design elements.
