Job summary

TK Elevator is seeking a Superintendent- Service/Repair in North Charleston, SC to oversee field operations, perform quality audits, and support technicians. The role focuses on ensuring efficient, cost-effective route work and maintaining compliance with industry codes.

You will assist mechanics, analyze profitability data, and provide feedback to management, while participating in safety training and bidding support for repair projects. Strong communication and leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• Thorough knowledge of construction industry and general management skills; or Bachelor’s degree; or two years managing on a branch level; or equivalent.
• Ability to write reports, proposals and business correspondence.
• Ability to present information to management and customers.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw conclusions.
• Ability to interpret technical instructions and work with abstract variables.
• Requires a valid driver's license and satisfactory MVR.

Responsibilities

• Visits job sites and conducts quality audits to ensure route work is completed efficiently and cost effectively.
• Performs NIM audit within 15 days of construction/modernization turnovers and provides improvement feedback.
• Assists mechanics with jobs and offers on-the-job training.
• Reviews profitability reports and provides data and reports to management.
• Participates in safety training and supports safety initiatives.
• Provides technical input to sales on scope of work and material costs for bids.
• Keeps up-to-date with elevator industry codes and company products.
• Determines materials needed for service, repairs, and part orders.
