Job summary

TK Elevator seeks an experienced Operations Manager for New Installation/Modernization in Detroit, MI. You will lead installation and modernization projects, coordinate teams, and drive safety and efficiency across departments to meet budgets and schedules.

The role requires strong project management, leadership, and industry knowledge, with a focus on safety and subcontractor coordination. This is a full-time on-site position with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (or extensive industry management experience).
• Valid driver’s license and a satisfactory Motor Vehicles Report.
• Thorough knowledge of the elevator industry and general management methods.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions and variables.

Responsibilities

• Supervises installation and modernization teams and enforces company policies.
• Plans, directs and prioritizes elevator installations and modernization projects.
• Reviews bids and provides technical input to calculate labor and material costs.
• Ensures safety program compliance and conducts safety audits.
• Maintains relationships with owners, contractors, elevator consultants, and architects.
• Manages subcontractors on turnkey projects.
