Job summary

Schindler Group in Boston, MA is seeking a Field Superintendent - Repair to lead field technicians, ensure safety, and drive service quality. You will supervise repairs, manage training, and coordinate with the local sales team to meet customer needs.

The role emphasizes leadership, problem solving, and strong communication to maximize profitability and customer satisfaction on all assigned projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent in relevant work experience in the elevator industry or other technical field.
• 5+ years of technical leadership experience preferred.
• Ability to effectively manage and resolve sensitive employee relations issues.
• Solid problem solving and proven negotiating skills, high sense of urgency, strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent PC skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead field technicians and build a team environment.
• Manage training and development of field technicians on processes, tools and standards.
• Foster excellent communication among team members and with the local union.
• Ensure service, maintenance and repair offerings meet quality and safety standards and contract requirements.
• Continuously improve service delivery for efficiency and effectiveness.
• Implement customer and company requirements for quality, performance and passenger safety.
• Support local sales in estimating service orders, scheduling, and resolving customer complaints.
• Develop teamwork and dedication to quality among all employees.
• Participate in professional development programs to enhance product knowledge.
