Job summary

Schindler Group in the Washington, DC area is seeking a Field Superintendent for Existing Installations (EI) to lead servicing, maintenance and repairs of assigned units, upholding safety and quality standards while controlling costs.

You will guide field technicians, coordinate routes and parts, and work with local operations managers to meet service metrics. Role involves mentoring staff and applying data-driven decisions using BI tools.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of technical leadership experience or elevator industry experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills; able to manage employee relations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee servicing, maintenance and repair of assigned elevator units to meet standards.
• Lead field technicians to ensure quality and contract requirements.
• Coordinate routes, scheduling, parts orders and payroll accuracy while ensuring profitability.
• Collaborate with Area/Territory Operations Managers to implement best practices.
• Perform regular site inspections and conduct field safety audits.
• Educate technicians through training and performance programs.
• Manage logistics and preventive maintenance, schedule quarterly site visits.
