Job summary

DICK'S Sporting Goods is seeking store teammates to greet customers, assess needs, and help with product knowledge and service quality. You will support merchandising standards, promote loyalty programs, and uphold safety and confidentiality policies while fostering an inclusive, respectful shopping environment.

Role emphasizes teamwork across the store and willingness to perform additional tasks as directed by management.

Qualifications

• Prior retail sales, cashier, or customer-focused experience preferred.
• Ability to stand, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull and lift 15 to 35 lbs. items repetitively (up to 25 times per hour).
• Ability to work extended periods of time (up to 4 hours) standing or walking.
• Ability to work at heights greater than 4 feet with use of a ladder, aerial lifting device, or platform.
• Ability to perform repetitive motions for short periods of time (up to 2 hours continuously).

Responsibilities

• Greet everyone and proactively approach customers to understand their needs and support their shopping experience.
• Uphold company merchandising and presentation standards by following floor sets, signage, price changes, and inventory presentation.
• Promote company programs (customer loyalty, warranty sales, private label credit card enrollment).
• Adhere to safety, loss prevention and standard operating procedures; maintain confidentiality of company information.
• Create an inclusive store environment where teammates and customers feel welcome, safe, and respected.
• Take an all-hands-on-deck approach to support the team across the store.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by management.
