Job summary

LifeWise Academy is seeking a part-time teacher to share the gospel in public school classrooms, blending Bible knowledge with engaging instruction. The ideal candidate actively participates in a local church and demonstrates strong communication with students, parents, and school staff.

Responsibilities include training, lesson planning with the LifeWise curriculum, maintaining attendance and class records, and fostering a redemptive, orderly classroom.

Qualifications

• A minimum of two years of classroom teaching experience (with students) in either a school or church setting
• A mature personal Christian faith in agreement with the LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith
• Active participation in and commitment to a local church whose doctrine aligns with the What We Believe section of the LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith

Responsibilities

• Complete Initial and Ongoing Training and LifeWise Teacher Certification within 30 days
• Teach LifeWise Classes using the LifeWise curriculum and map out curriculum customization
• Invest in connecting with students through building relationships and praying for them regularly
• Maintain attendance records and class rosters; prepare information for substitutes as needed
• Maintain a clean, organized classroom and manage routines and safety procedures
• Communicate with school personnel, volunteers, and program director; promote LifeWise's mission
