Job summary

LifeWise Academy is seeking a part-time teacher to share the gospel in public school classrooms using LifeWise curriculum. The role requires active church involvement, a mature Christian faith, and at least two years of classroom teaching experience in school or church settings.

Responsibilities include completing the LifeWise Teacher Certification, teaching LifeWise classes, engaging students through relationships and prayer, and maintaining organized records and a well-kept classroom.

Qualifications

• Two years of classroom teaching experience with students in school or church setting
• Mature Christian faith in agreement with LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith
• Active participation in a local church whose doctrine aligns with LifeWise Academy beliefs

Responsibilities

• Complete Initial and Ongoing Training; complete LifeWise Teacher Certification within 30 days
• Teach LifeWise Classes using LifeWise curriculum and customize as needed
• Invest in connecting with students through relationships and prayer
• Maintain a well-organized, engaging classroom environment with redemptive discipline
• Apply LifeWise policies, procedures and resources
• Take attendance and maintain accurate class rosters; prepare information for substitutes
• Maintain a clean and well-ordered classroom; manage supplies as needed
• Communicate with school personnel, community volunteers, and LifeWise program director
• Submit updates, stories and photos to the program director and promote LifeWise's mission
